The guitar was a Gibson ES 335 and I ran it through a Digitech RP 300 amp
modeller (preset "vibro" which brightens up the sound of the ES 335
considerably).
The normal sound of the ES 335 is much darker. Check out the videos at the
links below (with hardly or no shredding by the way because I did not feel
like it at the time):
