It requires an adjustment in playing style to be sure. The
first adjustment is that you don't use a pick. The extra
neck width allows you to play without accidentally damping
out other plucked strings.
The nylon strings require a light touch. Many folks pluck
with their nails. But I dislike nails, so I use bare
fingers instead. This is perhaps a little harder to
control, since a nail behaves much like a pick.
Or you could just use a pick :-) I guess it wouldn't be
appropriate if you were playing purely classical music,
A pick complicates playing for classical- you'd have to use
extra fingers in addition to holding a pick. But honestly, it
is easier to just fingerpick alone.

I blur the boundary by playing modern stuff finger style on a
classical. For example, Angie works pretty good.
