Ahh the good old days

experience!!. Ed
Even though this is way off topic...
You reminded me of 'back in the day'.
As for cars I was in to factory hotrods.
I loved going fast.
Had a Shelby Mustang GT 350, 68 Hemi Charger, 63 split window Vette,
64 GTO tripwr, 65 and 67 Olds 442 converts, and on and on.
I recall a very cool gig.
We played at a night beach party in Lake Geneva Wi.
The stage was on the beach facing the water.
Of course we were very loud and the sound was so cool bouncing off the
water.
Natural reverb and delay.
Somebody from the other side of the lake complained and we had to shut
down.

Raced on of those factory hot rods once coming out of LA. It was a
455 Firebird of the day - with the big scoop and bird on the hood
with my slightly moded 63XKEcoupe. We started at about 80mph - he had
me by a tad till we hit 130mph - then he started smoking out the pipes
(redline)- those thing were geared for off the line w 4.11's - Jag had
a 2.86 rear end - shot past him up to 160 mph : ' ) - the good old
days... I put 300,000 miles on it before parting - sold it to a guy in
NewZealand. Got a letter form him last night - he stripped it down to
nothing and chome plated every nut and bolt & replaced all worn parts..
now its SignalRed - I can't wait to see the pictures. Ed- Hide quoted text -

A friend had a Carmine red 1963 or 64 XKE.
It was set up for racing and ate up my 1963 fulie vette.
Post the pics when you get them.
I love those cars....three wipers was so cool. :)
