Re: gig report

MikeL
I don?t recall my first successful open E chord but I will feel
successful if or when I can smoothly transition to a barred B-min.
That may or may not ever happen. That's not self-defeatism, it's an
accurate assessment of physical reality.

And I say that's absolute nonsense. To suggest that transitioning
from a barred Bm to an E may not ever happen is simple self doubt.
You do thousands of hand/arm/finger movements every day that are
a thousand times more complex. There's no reason in the world why
you cannot accomplish that Bm to E change EXCEPT for the reason
that you think you cannot.

Look at it this way, if you like...

Mike, you will never be able to play that Bm to E change.
I know ten gazillion other players, from small children
to fingerless amputees to retarded people have managed
to do it...But YOU will never be able to do it. It's
just too hard for you.
