They had a Nice 12 x24 stage setup when we got there . but It was
raining like crazy 5:00.. ( Suposed to rain early in the day ) then
blew by.. We set up and ready to go 6:45. I saw another cloud
cluster and just to be safe duct taped some plastic sheets to the back
of equipment... yep it hit again - flip the plastic over the
amps,guitar etc... it passed. Started exacly on time 7:00. Blue sky as
far as you could see now. The Headman asked if he could set up his
congas, yes and we mic's him up. Then just Rocked the place .. No
problems. Crowed was very appreciative and we enjoyed the interaction
( I?d pick out a table and make contact and mess with them , - people
strumming golf clubs, up jumping around and generally having fun.
etc. ). later people wanted to get up on stage with us and sing of
play tambourine or whatever - just to BE On Stage and have some of the
fun we were having. About 9:00 mid set the mosquito?s decided to have
dinner. Between stums I was trying to fight them off, after the set I
found bug spray. All and All a very fun time. ed s

Damn ed.! If the fans keep rushing your stage you're going to have to get
security. <g> Glad to hear all went well.

Nice report Jim and thanks for posting....sounds you handled the
weather fasctor well. Picked up a tip there from you to have equipment
covers handy.
