Re: Your primary guitar(s)?

I have several good guitars but 3 are my primary guitars that I use
for gigs and rehearsals.
I have a Guild Blusebird P90, Gibson SG doubleneck, 1972 Telecaster,
Strat, Morgan Monroe acoustic/elec, elec dobro and more.
My primary electric guitar is a Jay Turser Flamed Maple Top strat.
Completely original except I put an old Fender Telecaster neck on it.
Paid $105 new.
Best looking, playing and best sounding electric guitar I have.
Morgan Monroe acoustic is a beautiful guitar that I bought used 7
years ago.
And I love my Eastman electric dobro.
What is your primary guitar(s)?

Pt

1. Fender MIA Lonestar Strat from the mid 1990's (Fat - HSS), maple neck (no rosewood fretboard).
2. Fender MIA Telecaster (2001) with solid maple neck (no rosewood).

Got both used in excellent condition from local sellers.

If I had to choose only one of them I guess it would be the Strat
only because it can do a lot of more modern/current chart/top 40 cover stuff
with that bridge 'bucker. (sometimes I'm on that bridge pup nearly the entire set list)
but since I don't have to choose only one then both of them are my favorites
because when I'm back home I tend to use the Telecaster more.
With these 2 guitars I'm all set to play whatever comes along.

The changes were only in pickups (beefier/slightly more output humbucker 12k ohms
on the Strat and Dimarzio Area 61's for the single coils) and the Telecaster has
Dimarzio Area T in neck and Dimarzio Hot Area T in bridge for more output
than regular single coil (so it's more of a fatter broadcaster type sound
in the bridge). Other than a pup change the guitars are stock Fender.

anyways, personally to me with a Strat and a Tele what more does anyone really need for electrics ?
Most of my current bandmates have LP's and SG's and a few have Ibanez
and someone else has a Dean and a Schecter
but it all works out good for me because I sit in all the mixes very well using
the Fenders.

The thing is that the amp/speakers you use are as important as the guitar.
So what amp/speaker (combo or head/cab) is just as important as the guitar you're playing.
But that's for another thread...
