That's one of the several reasons I got rid of my Ovation. With that
rounded back encountering my rounded front, when I played standing up
the guitar was pretty much horizontal. Hard on the wrist.
The lute players solved the problem by attaching a button to
the back of the instrument and wearing a leather belt with a buttonhole.
Of course for standing and playing a shoulder strap was needed also.
I can't imagine why the Ovation people have not equipped their products
in this way. Perhaps tab has rotted their brains. daveA
