True bypass is the circuitry they have to add....there-by cheaper
pedals usually don't have it.

Actually, it usually means that the pedal's circuit is
switched in or out -- without electronics. I.e. with
a switch or relay.

I fail to see any reason TB wouldn't be better. Maybe some of these
pedals are but I know Boss effects usually aren't TB. See if they
don't start offering more TB pedals soon. Why would you want to use a
buffer on effect you're not using?

Quieter switching (look back in the posts for my comment on that).

I noticed Digitech came out with a new line "True-bypass" as the 1st
feature.
