The simple trio of guitar, bass and drums is ideal and a touch of
Hammond organ is good also. But I like the blues mostly for the guitar
part, so the guitar player has to "deliver the goods."
Muddy Waters, Albert Collins, Hound Dog Taylor, Gatemouth Brown, Lightning Hopkins, Elmore James, John Lee Hooker, Buddy Guy, Bobby Blue Bland, Johnny Guitar Watson...for starters...
....and anybody named "King".
