i have been spending a bit of time checking up some of the amps posted
in this thread and the vox gets great reviews

I have a Vox AD30VT, a Roland Cube 30, a Fender Super Champ DX, a Fender Hot Rod, a Rivera R55, a Pure 64 (boutique amp), Crate V508, Roland Micro Cube, Fender G-DEC, and a Crate Power Block.

The Vox sounds good but drives me crazy with the controls. Make sure you test drive the Vox before you buy. The Rolands sound good and are easy to use. The Fender Super Champ DX kicks the Roland's and the Vox's a$$.

If you want an entry level tube amp that will hold up at a jam or gig, check out the Fender Hot Rod Deluxe.

Bottom line:
Get the Super Champ DX.

Just my $0.02
