Seriously now: Will any whammy bar fit this Ibanez,
or should I look for a specific Ibanez whammy bar part?
Do they tend to be standard size with a standard thread,
or do some use a left hand thread (just kidding on
the left-threading)?
What little I know about Ibanez electrics suggests
that they are pretty darn good guitars. I would
expect them to be some kind of normal when it
comes to things like thread sizes (assuming yours
is indeed threaded, some aren't).
But it's probably simple to find out. Simply hire
RichL to come over with his scientist buddies and
to a microspectrographic thread analysis of the
involved parts. Then email StewMac and tell them
you want one with the same specific gravity
and atomic structure. They may have it in
nickel or gold plate.
