Arlowe expounded in news:mn.6c507d9282e14163.90583@xxxxxxxxx:
on 12/02/2009, Charmed Snark supposed :I just acquired a used Marlin Banjo fairly cheap last
week. I'm taking it into a luthier this weekend to
get the fifth peg replaced with a geared peg (the
current one has a busted friction peg knob).
It looks like a lot of fun. I am looking forward to
getting it back and learning some banjo rolls and
tunes.
A friend of mine said his wife made him sell his (she
said "are you going to practice THAT? ..it's too loud").
Anyone here doing some closet banjo picken?
Snark.
Don't become a closet banjo picker...
The light is better in the kitchen.
Agreed. Even better on the porch.
Snark.
Best place to play/practice Banjo is in the car engine running a/c on doors locked windows up. Oh and a cooler full of suds in the back seat.
While still in the garage, a/c set to fresh air rather than recirculate....And drift happily to the big bluegrass band in the sky.
