The Gordon Lightfoot song Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald is noted for
the use of the of Asus2nd chord.
This appears a lot in Lightfoot's recordings, a contribution, I suspect, by his long time lead guitarist Red Shea. Shea, who died fairly recently was brilliant in his embellishment of Lightfoot's songs. Give a listen to "An Affair on 8th Avenue."
