Sort of tongue-in-cheek. Enjoy!

Wow, Rich. That was excellent! Although the genre's not my
fav, I enjoyed listening to it.

Thanks! It's really not my fav either, I just like trying out all sorts
of things.

In some ways, it kind of reminds me of the day I had yesterday:

1) My married daughter announces her tattoo on her wrist
(through our family website) (tattoo # 2 that is)

2) I get home to see daughter # 2 has re-pierced her nose
for a nose ring (& trying to stay positive :)

Heh. Both my (adult) daughters have the tattoos and piercings but, more
to the point, so do their significant others. Daughter #2 listened to
the song the other day and understood that it was a gentle *poke*.

Maybe I'll take your song's advice and pour a stiff one..

Oh, BTW, ROTFL, I thought the song was going to be a parody
on "Oh What a Lovely Couple OF COCONUTS". I just
figured for some reason that you abbreviated the title. It
had me very curious, especially with the "tongue in
cheek" reference you made. :)

Listening to your track again, I'd have to say it was very well
produced (at least as far as I can tell tell - I'm no
expert).

Thanks! I'm learning and starting to get it.

The only thing I noticed was with
the earphones on, I found that the vocals moving around
spacially was disconcerting. I kept wishing they
would just stay put -- middle, to the right or left a little -- but
they seemed to move around too much.

Consider that an unintended consequence of a (largely failed)
experiment. What I did was double track the main vocal (made two
separate recordings) and placed one to the left and one to the right in
the stereo field in an effort to make the sound more "full". The
drawback, as you noticed, is that it's hard to maintain constant volume
when singing, and parts that are louder on one track to the other will
give the impression of "moving around" as you said.

There was one portion in particular where I actually sneezed in the
middle of recording one of the tracks, and I simply snipped that part
out because I figured the presence of the other track would compensate
for it..

The resulting effects aren't really noticeable when you're listening on
speakers. I mainly used powered monitors to do the mixing, so I didn't
catch how severe this was. Thanks for pointing it out!

I guess if I'm going to maintain both tracks, I should put them in the
same place stereo-wise.

I appreciate your comments!
