I'll take issue with ANY of your comments, in total or
in part. So screw you and your suggestion that it's me
that's being dishonest.

You're doing a disservice to those kids because
your picture of academia and the real world professional
music business is just plain inaccurate.
I KNOW.
YOU'RE guessing.

You must be very proud.

Damn proud. I've made it in the music industry
because I had honest teachers that showed me
the truth about music as a livelihood. Not some
high school teacher that taught me and several
other kids how to play something in an ensemble
and then allowed them to have a false image of
their skills. I talk more people OUT of pursuing
music as a career than the opposite. I'm brutally
honest with those that think "I'll take some lessons"
or "I'll win American Idol" or any other substitute
for YEARS of intense, hard work.

You still haven't answered the question -

Yes I did, see above.

Ho hum. You're not only a more horrible speller
than I am, you are doing exactly what you are accusing
me of. You haven't answered or even addressed the question.

I'm not sure what your purpose here is with your
presentation. I don't particularly care what your
agenda is. And of course, you don't have to have one.
You COULD simply come here and participate in the
discussions. But you haven't done that.

... Surely you
have better things to do with your time. Or maybe not. . .

Had you bothered to do your homework, like any good teacher
should do, you'd know that I relish the chance to disprove
misconceptions about the music industry by those that
haven't been there.

How come you didn't star on Star Trek?
Because Clint Howard beat me for the part of Balok.
