I'd like to ask Rich, the OP...
What is the purpose of you wanting to
score your pieces? That may make a difference
on what kind of approach you use to do the
scoring. ie will you be giving charts to others?
Or some other reason?
It's for my own use only. There may come a time when I want to
score my originals for use by other folks, but that would be down
the road.
The main use is so that I have something to refer to while practicing
certain parts of songs that my increasingly feeble mind can't
remember any more ;-)
Sounds like PowerTab is what you want.
But I don't want tab; I want standard notation, because (a) I can read
it faster and (b) I'm playing other instruments besides guitar and bass.
Download the TablEdit demo and try it.
