I don't use any effects except a tube screamer and chorus on acoustic.
And not very often.
I'm thinking of starting to use some effects and I was considering one
of those multi effect boxes.
I don't like most of them though.
What do you like?

I use a Vox Tonelab SE with two pedals. (The current version is the LE with one
pedal.)
Like most, if not all, other multi-effect boxes, the Tonelab:
(1) it does some things well, others not so well
(2) the factory default patches suck.
On the other hand, the Tonelab is one of the very few boxes that has a tube in
it, rather than only digital effects. I bought mine used, so the price was
right. It is built like a tank so it is still practically new.
With some tweaking, I have created some really sweet sounding patches in all
different styles (twangy, country, hi-gain, metal, etc.) without having to buy a
whole bunch of pedals. I can cover any song ever written! (if I could learn it.)
