Composers write music on paper so that others can play the songs
properly.
When a composer writes a song it comes from his heart and mind.
He wants others to at lest try to recreate what he felt and thought at
the time.
Key does matter in some songs especially guitar music using open
strings.
Keep in mind that when playing in a band your only job is to create
the music for the singer to sing to.
This is all about ego.
You want to be the guitar hero.
Not a professional who provides correct music for a singer.

You misunderstand, Pt. And you're not clear, so others are misunderstanding you.
It's okay, there's no problem, you're making a good point, but all beginners need to learn is the right chord progression and the right melody.
Later they can decide whether they want to keep it straight or reinterpret it.
