first piano lesson

I took my first piano / vocal lesson last night. I found this girl in
the neighbourhood who is an elemenetary school music teacher & seems
to really know her stuff. She does 1 hour lessons for $10 which is a
smokin' deal. The vocal part was fun but there's lots to learn there.
The piano part was predictable.

"Can you play a scale?"

"Can you do that with your left hand?"

"Can you do 2 octaves?"

"Can you do them both at the same time?"

It's really a form of torture. There's always gonna be something
next. A cool thing though was doing broken chords for all the C
shapes. Root, 1st & 2nd inversions for 2 octaves.
