No, I mean the full major scale.
I printed out your Pentatonic map...
Teach a man to fish?
Build a simple graphic or spread sheet that
resembles the fretboard. Label all the notes
A A#/Bb B C C#/Db etc
Then go nuts.
Know the notes of the (any) scale?
Plot em on the graph. Like if you know
C D E F G A B C = C Maj scale, color those
spots on the graph.
More fun? Think chords.
You've got all the fret spots named with notes.
Now you want a chord. Use Dm7 for example.
If you know the notes are D F A C, just pick
any combination of those 4 notes anywhere on
the neck.
The great thing about that last exercise is that
while you're playing anything, and you find yourself
on the XX fret, and you want a Dm7 chord, you're usually
no more than one or two frets max to finding a version
of that chord.
Then if you like doing that, break it down another way.
Find all the notes of any chord on each SINGLE string.
Example A9 chord. Find the A C# E G B notes on each string.
Now you've got five chord tones on each string. Pick just
about any combination of those notes and you'll have
your desired chord, wherever you need it on the neck.
