I guess this question has already been answered, though I thought I
would mention that I run into this business of modes when I play my
harmonica. In other words, right now I have just a single diatonic
harmonica, which is in the key of C, and I'm working on the Johnny
Cash tune "Get Rhythm". If I try playing the tune in either C major
or A minor, I am unable to get all of the notes. On the other hand,
if I play the tune in D, I can get all of the notes just fine, even
though the harmonica is in C.
