Play a F bar chord.
Now play an F (non-bar) chord.
What is the difference in the notes you are playing?

richness?
Lack of fret buzz in the later ;-)

Thanks for the replies but I wonder if you noticed. None of you
actually answered my primary question. Suggestions on what to play.
:)
Another friend suggested Smells Like Teen Spirit, I've also got the
body of that off too, in fact I find it easier than creep as I don't
need to form a minor which is at the moment very difficult for me.
Most of the stuff you're covering about inversions are of little sense
to me. I'm just looking for some additional songs to learn to build up
my finger strength so I can move on to more complex fingerings.
Thanks for taking the time to reply though.
