I never listened to the samples at all.
Me either. If I ever need a mic, I'll borrow one from my son. I just have no current need for one unlike many of you. My point in my original post was and still is "just a thought."

P.S. The only time I needed a good mic was back in the 70s when I used an Astatic D-104 for shooting "skip" on 11 meter SSB. :-)
