Greg, Squire, Lumpy, Pt, Sean,Sergeant, et al,

I'm missing something here. What are we listening to these mics with?
The $39.95 speakers we have plugged into our $29.95 sound cards? I don't
see how we can judge them without listening to them under the actual
conditions in which they'd be used.

Just a thought.

I am listening with Audio Technica ATH M40 headphones.
The cabs being mic'd are custom Ear Candy 10 inch cabs
with Eminence USA Ramrod speakers. The stand used is
Atlas mic stand. The anti-vibration mic holder is Shure.
The vocal mic is placed on Atlas mic stand and uses regular
barrel type Shure mic holder.

The mic inputs go through a Zoom multi-track recorder and
then out to headphones.

I cannot listen to them on monitors yet because I am still
waiting for the 1/4 inch cabling (to go from monitor <-> multi-track)
It will be nice to listen through actual studio monitors to
compare what it sounds like through the headphones versus actual speakers.

Hope this helps.
