I'm missing something here. What are we listening to these mics with? The
$39.95 speakers we have plugged into our $29.95 sound cards? I don't see
how we can judge them without listening to them under the actual
conditions in which they'd be used.

Like lumpy said. Whatever we are listing to them with. It is all
relative. I could tell the SM58 was extremely clear.
