3 years playing scales and not playing music? What a sad waste. Whose
idea was that?

Forget about scales for now, learn some actual songs. Scales have no
meaning outside their application. Until you have some music to apply
them to, you're just wasting time fooling around with the disconnected
engine parts and not enjoying driving the car.

A hint: scales are a collection of notes that you can make melodies out
of. So do that - make a tune out of the various notes in a scale.
