ok, i got that. i dont get much gain from it though. I have the line volume
all the way up, but hardly hear it.

when i go in through the mic, it doesn't sound right.

i have gone into the audio properties and set the line in volume to max.

could there ebe something else i am missing??

On the Audigy docs I'm looking at -
1 - line/digital out
2 - line in
3 - mic in
4 - line out
5 - line out

If you can see the tiny engraved icons, look for the
(()) with the arrow head pointing IN toward the
center of the (()). That's line in.
