Man, I've been on this guitar for 7 hours straight playing open chord
progressions and working out lyrics...trying to get this song in my head
down. Finally I got the progressions worked out and the words came. But
I just kept working and re-working everything over and over. I've played
and sang it through several times. Deb, my wife, got in on the act and
tried her hand at singing while I played. We also sang it together
several times. We had a good time and laughed a lot. But now I've played
so long that my fretting hand is trashed. It's just done. I'm going to
record the song within a few days. Here's it is: (Recommendations

Listen to "She Drives Me Crazy" by the Fine Young Cannibals to make sure
you haven't rewritten that tune. (That just comes from me playing your

I don't know that song and am not a fan of that group. Any similarities are
coincidental. I play the chord progressions with the drum machine on 120
bpm. Nothing fancy about my strumming pattern. (As a matter of fact, I
need to work on right hand rhythm. That's a weak point for me.) The chords
are roughly placed over the words where they change. It's just that
simple....very amateur as far as melody is concerned.
