We all could add to that list "ad naseum" -- to this list of
things that really don't help you with what you really set out to
do in the first place. *THIS* is what sucks the life out of you
(absorbs your time anyway). This is what I want to eliminate from
my life.
The Mac is not totally immune to this, but I am quickly reaching
the point where I'll spend the extra money to give it a try.
I also gotta say, I love those Mac vs PC commercials!
Snark.
My son, who does recording/production, insists that I get a mac
for my musical stuff. The trouble is, I work at home a lot, and a
lot of the scientific stuff I use is not supported by Mac. So, do
I get 2 comps? Does that mean I do without that nice Tele I've
got my eyes on?
Decisions---decisions---decisions. Ugh!
That's the first thing (software) my son asked me about when I was
frothing about microsoft one day and threatening to buy a Mac.
Software/hardware availability for Mac is improving though.. and
having a UNIX operating system underneath the hood is right up my
alley.
Snark.
Apple's boxes can do Windows now too (Apple went Intel (cpu) last year) and
without needing an emulator 3rd-party app. in other words dual or triple
boot OS's or "camps"
