Indeed it would be... IF you have 1 ohm of resistance in the circuit.

Amps = Volts / Resistance
and
Watts = Amps X Volts

so... 300 / 1 = 300 or 11,200 watts

But if we delve into the realm of reality, we could look
at perhaps 8 or 16 ohms resistance in the circuit...

300v / 8ohms = 37.5a or 11,250 watts
300v / 16ohms = 17.75a or 5,325 watts

... so a common 100 watt amp, that has
a plate voltage of 300 volts, would have
a circuit resistance of 900 ohms. (.3333333 amps)

Amps, ohms and volts are set factors (or variable).
They do not change in to something else.
