I'm looking into buying a loop pedal, perhaps this one (link below).
But I don't have an amp. I was looking to use some computer speakers
I have that use a regular headphone jack. My question is, I have an
acoustic-electric, so if I plug a cable into the guitar and then into
the pedal, can I buy some kind of jack plug connector that will allow
me to use the computer speakers (since the jack that goes into the
pedal is bigger than the smaller headphone jack).

Is this a good pedal by the way? Any other suggestions?

I don't know if this is a good pedal, but 16 minutes worth of loopage is
pretty cool. I've got a DigiTech JamMan, I love the thing. Because you can
record multiple layers (guitar 1, guitar 2, guitar solo, percussive
strumming(muting)) you can come up with some really cool creations that will
keep you entertained for hours. You'll never have to ask 'Does scale x
sound good in the key of y', because you'll be able to record key y and play
x over it, then erase, and try something else.

As far as using your PC for sound is concerned, if you can plug a mic in
your PC, then yeah you should be able to plug the output of pedal into your
PC (once you've used the appropriate sockets to downsize the 1/4 inch guitar
lead).

However...You'll need some kind of software so that your guitar sound is
broadcast to you in 'real' time; as your strumming it. I have Adobe
Audition 1.5, and I can arm one of the tracks -- after selecting the mic as
the source -- and can play away, with sound coming out of the PC speakers as
if it were an amp. If I chose to do so*

Note though that
- I've never used it with the pedal you're talking about; but it works with
my JamMan
- All sound cards are different
- *It won't sound a as good as a real guitar amp or PA; but it IS obviously
better than nothing

Hope this helps!

Raymo.
