Great stories. A couple of weeks ago my wife hosted her scrapbooking
group (bunch of ladies who get together and make highly artistic
scrapbooks to put photos in), and so I retreated to the front room to
practice some new tunes I am working up. After about an hour of just
trudging thru stuff, nothing done well all the way thru mind you, I
walked thru the room they were working in on the way to the kitchen.
They all said how relaxing it was to hear me play. I even got a new
student out of it!

It is so easy to get caught up in technique, patterns, where to put
your thumb, etc. The bottom line is the songs.

"Just try and be yourself and be comfortable, make people around you
comfortable, and enjoy the company. That's what music is about."
