I have a Strat and Yamaha Silent guitar that I use with a Roland Cube 30 amp. Works well enough for me. I just ordered an Aria Elecord acoustic-electric guitar. Any reason to order another amp for it? I guess I never understood the difference between the amps for electric and acoustic guitars. Can anyone explain? Thanks.
Frequency response is the biggest issue. If your amp has an external speaker jack, you could go down to Radio Shack and buy one of their cheap piezo horn tweeters and a 10 ohm power resister. Wire in series to a speaker cable. Plug that tweeter in when using the acoustic. Note the difference in tone with and without the tweeter.
