Electric vs acoustic guitar amp

I have a Strat and Yamaha Silent guitar that I use with a Roland Cube 30 amp. Works well enough for me. I just ordered an Aria Elecord acoustic-electric guitar. Any reason to order another amp for it? I guess I never understood the difference between the amps for electric and acoustic guitars. Can anyone explain? Thanks.
