i'm left hand and

Here is my question, hope someone can help me out. I want to buy an
acoustic guitar just for a hobby, to keep me busy a bit, change my
lifestyle a little. I'm a left handed person and I've never played a
guitar before. I definitely have much better control using my left
hand in anything I do. Should I try playing a right handed guitar or a

left handed guitar? Do you need a stronger or more control in the hand
that is strumming or holding down the frets. I'm assuming I'd have more

speed and control with my left hand. Should the control hand be used
better at the picking/strumming or should it be used on the frets.
Any comment and advice appreciated.
