Should a case humidifier be used with a guitar like an Ibanez Artcore

I was reading a letter in a magazine recently about guitar humidifiers in
the UK and it mentioned that the average humidity in the UK is 55% to 90%
unlike some parts of the US where it can drop to 10-20%. So the British
have less to worry about unless they run extreme central heating.
