Well there are alot of people that give up.
Nobody I guess, just wanted to post something.
I've been playing for about a year now and I still can't play clean
the 5-6 pieces I know. Also, I've been trying to figure out how to
make a clean and acceptable barre and I can't do it. My fingers have
big knuckles which always kill it.
What are the pieces? At this point I would have to see what you
are doing to see what is wrong. So in some sense I also agree
with those that tell you to do other chords rather than barre.
Some people suggested moving to electric because that's easier but
I'm not willing to spend money on another guitar plus amp without
being able to play shit.
Also your guitar is a classical one right? Do you play classical
music or are you trying to play contemporary music but all you
have is a classical guitar?
This doesn't mean that I will cease playing, just that it will only
be a pastime, not real practice.
Anybody else ever thought this way?
Yes but not for the same reasons. I did quit for about 12 years.
