Thought it may be interesting (for me anyways) to mark my progress so far.

Recorded about 1/2 hour ago.

Brilliant! I downloaded Audacity a couple of weeks ago at your
recommendation, and it wasn't until last night that I had the chance to play
around with it and get it working. I recorded my first song, but I didn't
even THINK of doing something like you did with the multitracks. I have to
give that a try tonight and post it if anything good comes out of it.
