I think that there's some statistical data that indicates that only around
10% of people consider themselves left handed.

It's interesting to me that there are no lefty pianos, or horns, or other
stringed instruments. Why guitar? My daughter is left handed, that is, she
writes lefty, eats lefty, bats lefty etc. but plays a right handed (normal)
guitar.

Here's something else that's kind of interesting. I teach basic computing
to grade school kids that range in age from 8 to 14. A handful of them
(probably about 10%) are left handed, including my daughter, but I've never
had one of them try to use the mouse with their left hand. Microsoft does
include the software to reverse the button functions but I've never had to
use it.

What makes a guitar player right handed or left handed? Is it the hand
that he uses to strum? or is it the hand to change the cords on the neck?
