WARNING: THE FOLLOWING MIGHT CONTAIN SOME NON-GUITAR RELATED LOW BROW
BITS
It's just silly, urban lore, that some male folk - when carrying out the
practice in question - reach for a sock from their dirty clothing basket,
out of convenience more than because it's an actual sock. A sock is
probably one of the more malleable pieces of clothing found in a dirty
basket draw, is small, and can be easily folded into itself, further
hiding any traces of the act that preceded its use. I suspect this is a
simply urban legend or an esoteric practice that I must treat as simply
urban legend, in order not to make any readers feel uneasy for one reason
or another.
I suspect this (legend) was a young mans sport, as more mature (ie not
teenagers) folk are less likely to keep dirty clothes baskets in their
bedroom. Hence I suggested getting a clean sock from the draw, in order
to further enhance/compliment the funny suggestion that I was in fact
getting amorous, on my own, after having dimmed the lights, and chose the
modern convenience of a sock drawer over a washing basket as I am no
longer a teenager. For the record, the study (ala 'studio') from which I
compute does not have any socks in it.
At the time, I was perhaps unwittingly feeding a troll, and in my haste
said/revealed things that shouldn't have been said/shared with those
unfamiliar with the wily ways of the washing basket sock.
What's your favourite guitar?
Cheers,
Raymo.
Oh Ray youre not saying adults dont use those "alternate" warm up routines
are you? ;-) or are you saying they have amore mature clothes washing
routine :-)
I havent played enough guitars to say what is my favourite. I have been
considering going to try some different ones out at a shop, but i think its
really out of order to go to a shop and waste peoples time like that unless
im going to buy something.
I'll find a way. I can tell you what i dont like though, I tried a black
vintage guitar recently one of the cheap black ones. The neck had some
horrible black coating which made moving your hand up the neck less than
smooth. What price image eh?
