Hi Lumpy,
Although it is an individual thing, there still are guitars that are
better suited for beginners, for example when it comes to height in
action, are easy to fret, etc. I know that sound is a personal choice,
but still most people can hear the difference between a crappy set up
guitar with an unclear sound which is hard to fret, and a guitar with
stays in tune, has a clear bright sound and is easy to fret.
Hope that answers your questions.
/Z.

Hi,
looking for some reviews on the Ibanez V72E-NT.
Is this a good guitar for a beginner?
How about sound, setup, etc.?
Define "good guitar for a beginner"?
For that matter, define "beginner"?
8 y/o child, never touched a guitar?
50 y/o adult that played a little guitar
25 y/o professional pianist that wants to
add guitar to her bag of tricks?
How about sound? You want it to sound good
to YOU. Not to me or anyone else.
How about setup? EVERY guitar, regardless
of brand/style/cost requires a setup, tailored
to your particular style of playing, your string
gauge etc.
