Hey this may be useful.
If you already know the cycle of 5ths, as you move across the strings
the adjacent notes move in the same order, except from the 3rd to 2nd
strings (i.e. 6th string 5th fret = A, 5th string 5th fret = D, 4th
string 5th fret = G).
