I thought I knew what was going on in the world but I never had a

Maybe some of what she teaches will rub off on them.
I hope so.
Yeah Im glad I dont have to work with teens --- you cant tell them
anything. They are all totally screwed up royally and no one can tell
anyone what to do
What a sad indictment on society this type of unmindful stereotyping. Of
course not all teens are royally screwed up. Most young people will listen
to you if you have something to say in a way in which they understand.
"Adults" are stuck in the past with the children should be seen and not
heard mentality. Times have changed. I dont know if anyone noticed but the
50's 60's 70's happened. WE saw massive changes to youth culture and
lifestyle. Most of us are the ones who created the path for the young people
of today.
They have to go through the mistakes themselves
This is absolutely right. You learn from your mistakes, so dont castigate
someone for making a mistake. As long as people learn from experiences whats
the problem?
over years and years and sometimes it screws their whole lives up but
thats just the way it is. I was the same way when I was younger.
I saw this bit where the guitarist in Metallica had to go to traffic
school for some ticket. He actually played a song for them on his
acoustic one day.
He probably had a unique insight into the lives of people he never even
considered before. I'm glad he did give a something back.
We give our young people a raw deal. I UK media demonising young people
becuase it sells, not because it true. Wheres the social responsibility
gone? If you give them disrespect, they will give it back. We are supposed
to be the mature ones. But sometimes i wonder.
