Can you elaborate on what kind of material
you're working from? Sheet music? TAB?
Chords someone showed you? etc...
When you're playing something, are you
aware of the chords you are playing?
Perhaps a goofy question, yet I meet
people all the time that don't know
what a "G chord" is. They know it as
"d00d, the wun shaped like dis!".
If you know the chords, then we can
figure out what key it's probably in
and maybe give you some simple guidelines
about how to figure it out on your own.
