Rehearsing

I brought this subject up a couple years ago and it was dominated by
JS's rantings.
I have played in more than my share of go noplace bands even though
some were very good.
I'm in the sticks and finding reputable people is difficult.
My band now has members who travel up to 80 miles to rehearse and gig.
Occasionally I hit a band that is almost gig ready from the start but
that is rare.
Because we are doing a lot of newer female country rock songs we have
to learn new songs almost constantly.
Once a band has one set down it is a pleasure to rehearse.
I enjoy rehearsals almost as much as gigging.
I'm playing with a band every week.
I feel that is better than sitting at home wishing I was in a band and
watching the ads for the right group.
Take 5 or 6 strangers and make it the right group.
And enjoy rehearsing.
