Tuba is legitimate bass.
Edward G.
Baltimore, MD
But you can never hear it.......
Completely legitimate coverage of the bottom in some genres.
Aside:
A few weeks ago there was an event at Rockefeller Center in NYC. "A
Tuba Christmas", where about 75 tubaists (?) performed a concert of
seasonal music. It was....er...um.... different (yet quite musical).
You can google Tuba Christmas for more info. Apparently, it happens in
lots of places at this time of year and has been going on for a very
long time.
Happy New Year, everyone.
But like it was pointed out before here, he plays a sousaphone.
It's a "type" of tuba, but indeed physically different.
