Regards to all

I have never been in a working band with a sibling, but I learned my
chops jamming with my older brother and brother-in-law (8 & 11 years my
senior). I loved it, and I learned a lot playing with older musicians
(some of the guys we jammed with were much older). I think that gave me
a leg up on guys my age because once I started jamming with my peers I
realized I was a lot better than they were in a *band* situation even
though they could play all sorts of really hot licks.

It's funny. I have known a several brother bands. Though they mostly got
along, in every case I can think of (4) one played acoustic, and the
other was all electric... Just my own personal experience.
