Well, hereabouts the new price on an Acoustic Image ten2 is about the
same price as a markbass CMD 121p (I can't find a CMD 112 listed) ( I
paid slightly less for the ten2 than the listed price for the Markbass)
and they seem to be similarly competitive in other markets.
The ten2 is lighter (28lbs instead of 29lbs), smaller (17"x15"x13"
instead of 17"x15.3"x14.1" and more powerful (800W@4ohms instead of
500W@4ohms - also AI is 4ohm configured vs 8ohm for markbass - so 800W
combo vs 300W combo) and louder (116db vs 99db) although the latter may
be measured quite differently between the two.
But it is only slightly smaller, ligher and only a bit louder - so I
think they both represent approximately the smallest/lighest
substantially loud package possible.
