I've got the NXT. I gave it its first real workout at three
gigs this
weekend: an acoustic gig and two rock bands (one original,
one
cover). Though both rock bands had reservations about my
using an
upright, they all loved it.

And so they should, it's a versatile bass with a range of
sounds unavailable to a bass guitar yet easily set up to
duplicate a bg's low action and playability if that's what
you require (truss rod, excellent adjustable bridge and mag
pups) but mine is always set up akin to an upright...
