Hi all,
do you guys go through any "routine" maintenance on your
instruments
(electrical, acoustic, including amp), even in so far as
washing your
hands before playing?? Is the latter a bit of a myth?
Thank you.
My bass guitar is pretty stable and has the same strings I
put on it 5 years ago (Elixirs, nano-coated). There was
evidence of microscopic stalactites of 'funk' under the lower
frets last time I looked (months ago) but I'm not looking to
change things - my bass sounds just as I want it to.
My EUB is more demanding however, regular checks on action
and removing rosin goo spring to mind. Amps? I expect them to
work *constantly, and they do thus far...you don't want the
grief of trying to revive a dead body.
